Advising businesses and individuals, Mitchell provides a wide range of services including business and intellectual property valuations, securities valuations and succession planning. Mitchell’s legal and investment counterparts, as well as the clients he represents, rely on his fair and accurate estimates to finalize what are often highly sensitive transactions in cases of buying/selling a business, family law matters, fraud investigations or shareholder disputes. His astute approach instils confidence and comfort in even the most distressing situations.
Mitchell is a regular contributor to publications and has been quoted in Investment Executive magazine. In partnership with the University of Toronto he developed a new course titled Foundations of Business Valuation which has been accredited by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CICBV). In addition to teaching business valuations Mitchell has taught financial accounting courses at both the University of Toronto and the Schulich School of Business at York University. He also volunteers for the CPA Ontario annual Tax Clinic, which organizes free accounting services for low-income individuals.
